Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to frequently asked questions

Do I need to be logged in for the automation to run?

No. All automations are being performed by our servers and you do not need to be signed in for the automations to run. Please note that it is important to make sure that the automation is in active mode for it to run. You can select the active/deactive mode for each automation within settings of each automation module.

Can I add a custom proxy address?

Yes, you can. It is recommended to use a proxy from the same country as country used to login to the Instagram account through browser/mobile device. If you are using a mobile 4G proxy - the location of the proxy does not matter.

Instagram now detects static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses that are being used for automations and blocks IP addresses for 12 hours. If you using automations, you must use a dynamic mobile proxy or rotating ipv4 / ipv6 proxies.

The custom proxy should match following pattern: http(s)://ip:port OR http(s)://username:password@ip:port.

In order to add a custom proxy, please use the following steps:

  • Login to your Instagram Bot Follower account.

  • Select Accounts from the left hand side menu.

  • Click on the three dots at the upper right corner of the account you want to add a custom proxy to.

  • Click Edit from the drop down box.

  • Add in your custom proxy address as indicated by the example pattern above.

  • Add in your Instagram accounts password.

  • Click Save Changes.

Our recommended proxy provider: You can purchase your own private 4G proxy from one of our approved sellers here.

Instagram (and other social networks) doesn’t know that you are using a proxy, so your trust score increases, there are no blocks, there is no risk of ban, and the IP changes automatically.

What is a custom proxy?

A proxy is a method used to perform actions using other computer network rather than our servers. It acts as a go-between link between your computer and Instagram.

A custom proxy is a proxy address purchased and managed by you.

You can purchase your own proxy from a 3rd party or use our approved seller listed above.

How do I change my proxy address?

You can easily do this on the Accounts section.

In order to change your proxy address, please use the following steps:

  • Login to your Instagram Bot Follower account.

  • Select Accounts from the left hand side menu.

  • Click on the three dots at the upper right corner of the account you want to add a custom proxy to.

  • Click Edit from the drop down box.

  • Add in your Instagram accounts password.

  • Add in your new proxy in the Proxy section.

If you see the following error, it means that your proxy or IP has been rejected by Instagram:

"Sorry there was a problem with your request"

How many followers can I get with IBF?

Since we do not sell followers or likes but offer an automation service, the number of followers earned can vary greatly from one user to another.

It depends on several aspects: To get more targeted users interested in your instagram profile, you should apply the correct settings. Be sure to activate the Follow Automation and Likes automation option. You’ll get 2-3 times more comments than with likes automation only. Your account should provide high-quality content updated on a regular basis.

We recommend that you create a new post once a day at least. Let us note that some accounts can gain more than 2000 new followers per month, while the others – 200 followers, new accounts – far less. This gain basically depends on the quality of the content and correct promotion settings.

Does this service attract real or fake followers?

All the followers you get through IBF are real and take the follow or like action by their smartphones and not by bots.

Do you provide a log for the automation activities?

Yes, each automation service has its own activity log for each Instagram account so you can get the following:
